More than a walk — Alpine Tails Co takes your dog on fully off-leash pack hikes through the trails of Central Oregon. Every hike ends the same way — with a new best friend found and one very happy, tired dog.
Dogs are built to run, sniff, explore, and socialize. Our off-leash pack hikes run 90 minutes to 2 hours depending on weather and trail conditions — because a good hike ends when the dogs are satisfied, not when a timer goes off. Fresh air, varied terrain, genuine exercise, and a social circle they'll look forward to every week.
Zoomies, sniff breaks, splashing through puddles, chasing squirrels (don't worry, they never catch them) — 90 minutes of this and they'll nap like champions.
Pack hikes create real bonds. Tucker and Olive, Bella and June (just to name a few) — some of our dogs have become total besties on the trail. Your pup could be next.
Fresh air, new scents, varied terrain — the kind of stimulation that makes for a calm, happy dog at home.
Every dog goes through a meet & greet first. We screen for temperament and compatibility so every hike is safe and fun for all.
Everything your dog needs — whether you're at work, traveling, or just need a break.
Our signature service — a 90-minute to 2-hour off-leash adventure on the trails around Central Oregon. We follow the dogs' lead, not the clock.
One-on-one time for your dog — on or off leash, at their pace. Great for dogs who prefer solo adventures or need a more focused experience.
We come to your home while you're away so your dog stays comfortable in their own space. Available for regular dog walking clients only.
Why 90 minutes to 2 hours? Because we read the dogs, not the clock. On a crisp morning when the pack is fired up, we go the full two hours. On a hot day or a tough trail, we wrap up when everyone's happy and ready for home. Either way, your dog gets exactly what they need.

Fill out our short contact form. Tell us about your dog — breed, age, energy level, and what you're looking for. Please include the area of town you live in!
We meet you and your pup in person — free of charge. Depending on your dog, I may recommend a private walk first to assess how they do before joining the pack. Safety for everyone comes first.

Your dog becomes a full pack member. Same crew, same trails, same excitement — week after week.
I'm a Bend native who spent the majority of my life in Central Oregon, where I developed a deep love for adventure and the outdoors. After five years in Portland working in HR, I came home to start a business I truly love — one built on over 10 years of experience working with animals.
In 2021, Alpine Tails Co was born. Every day, I get to do exactly what I set out to do: explore Central Oregon's trails and give each dog an Alpine Tails journey they'll be sure to rate 5 barks.
Don't take our word for it.
"Thanks for taking great care of my sweet Madison. You are so consistent, reliable, and the dogs love you. As a fully blind dog, she has become happier, more fit and athletic — she now jumps into my truck on her own. She has amazing confidence now, running on trails using her nose and paws to find her way. That's pretty amazing given she can't see even a shadow."
"Everyone — most importantly Finn and Elsa — loved you. We have worked with many dog services across the US and you are one of the best. Thank you."
"Stefanie is kind, consistent, trustworthy and AWESOME. My dog Luna races out the door when Stefanie arrives and comes home ready for a nap. Stefanie is such a great support. I am so grateful."
